STeBi Engineering Team has designed, developed and built the working prototype of a true Innovative System which conjugates in one functional Unit an advanced Hi-Sensitivity Flow Cytometer and a Hi-Speed. Hi-Resolution, Optical Image capturer & Processor. The Cytoimager & NucleOSoft are under validation and testing at National Cancer Institute of Napoli -IT. The System outperforms: |
The Optics and Detectors perform Fluorescence pulses detection and transducing at sensitivity down to 100 MESF / Cell, and it's easy to detect Scattered light pulses originated by Bacteria ( D < 0.55 m ). |
The Acquisition Electronics is able to acquire up to 16 Signals at the same time(2Sc+14Fl) and simoultaneusly convert them in Digital format at min.4096 ch's Resolution and at 50 Samples/10 mSeconds. This means: a) the time during which the System is "blind" is T<5mS ------------------versus T> 70 mS of most popular flow cytometers; ---------------b) the Digital shape of analog pulses is 50 times more ------------------"fidel" to the original ones; Competitors get 1S/10mS |
The Digital Signal Processing (DSP) electronics works on both Image capturing / triggered Tachometer module and flowcytometry one, so to perform light synchronisation for capturing still images of each flowing cell, and electronic compensation of the exceptionally low optical overlap of FITC on PE (<9% by specific optical design). |
The Software Packages to acquire and analyse flow cytometric data by our systems (CytoImager and stONE)are now at 1.0.06 revision. Now, both with our scientific partners, the engineering team is planning the "training strategy" for the Neural Modules. |

The NEW "stONE" is an 8 parameters, Hi-sens, Hi-resolution Flow Cytometer "intelligent" system. More, it's equipped, of course, with modular solid state excitation laser sources covering the range 275, 365nm/up to 100mW, 488nm/20mWand 635nm/20mW. The stONE is very compact, lightweight and cost effective. Dimensions: (H x L x D in mm) 20 x 40 x 26 - weight < 5Kg. Technical Specifications and Cross Validation coming soon. |
